The non-base corners of the map are useful for FC's because there is a vortex in each, allowing them to throw off pursuers. However, don't use the enemy's vortex, as they will have a speed boost! The middle 5 zones have some gates you can use to help your FC escape enemies, as well as some boosts, spikes, and powerups for interesting gameplay.
